Verizon iPhone Helps U.S. Become a Smartphone Majority
Apple is now the third-largest mobile phone maker in the U.S., behind only Samsung and LG, according to The NPD Group, on the strength of the Verizon iPhone. Smartphones overall also represented a majority of mobile phones sold this quarter, for the first time ever.
